That’s the exact feeling we wanted to create. That’s why we built Monster Tours and Snow Monster.
Two Parts of One Big Idea
Living in tropical Singapore makes snow sports a challenge. Most of us only get a week or two on the snow each year, so every single day on the snow counts. We wanted to make sure you spend your holiday actually riding and exploring, right from day one.
So we built a two-part company to make that happen.
First is Snow Monster, our indoor ski and snowboard facility in Singapore. We brought in massive snow simulator slopes so you can build muscle memory, practice your turns, and get your legs ready before you even pack your winter bags. When you join our Progression Tours, we bundle in simulator classes at home so you can step onto real mountain slopes with confidence.
Part two is Monster Tours. When winter arrives, we host small, intimate trips to our favorite mountains. Our second home is Myoko and Arai in Japan, where we have spent over eight seasons exploring every corner of the valley. We also run adventures to other resorts in Japan, Iiyama and Kosha, Zao Onsen, and even elsewhere around the world like Xinjiang, Georgia, and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
What It Feels Like to Ride With Us
We run our trips the same way we travel with our own friends. We keep groups small, with one host for every five guests. You'll ride with us and our local friends who live in these mountain towns, giving you the best of both worlds - Familiarity of Singaporean hosts, and knowledge of the towns from locals
We don't stick to a strict schedule either. We go where the snow is best each morning and take random coffee or picnic stops whenever the mood strikes. If everyone's legs are cooked, we call it a day and head to a lakeside sauna, a cold plunge, or a cozy hot spring. We want you to experience the mountain lifestyle the way locals do.
Meet the Crew Behind Monster
An idea that sparked from Terry, four friends came together to make this happen.
Terry: The guy who dreamed this all up. He spent years hosting ski and snowboard trips in Singapore before deciding to start his own thing. He wanted to build a warm, close community where people feel looked after and every trip feels like hanging out with friends. On the mountain, you'll see him hyping everyone up, riding the park, or taking the group to his favorite food spots.
Ken: Terry’s biggest riding inspiration. He has decades of snowboarding experience, and he makes riding look like effortless surfing on snow. He floats off side hits, park jumps, and backcountry features without breaking a sweat. Last summer, Ken quit his full-time job and spent the entire winter living in a van in Myoko just to ride every day. Nowadays, he lives in Kochi surfing daily until the snow starts falling again.
Rey: Our dedicated ski host. He lives in Tokyo and heads straight to the snow every winter. Before this, Rey spent 11 years working as a tech engineer. He finally decided to trade writing Python, running SQL queries, and staring at Excel sheets for fresh powder and good company. Turns out, debugging someone’s ski turns on a mountain is way more fun than debugging code at a desk.
Alice: Our ground tricks specialist and our insider for China. While living in Shanghai, she spent nearly a decade riding all across Xinjiang. She knows those mountains inside and out. Alice is endlessly passionate about growing the snowboard community and teaching riders how to spin, butter, and get creative on flat snow.
